Prerequisites
To access the Plan to Barge menu item, your user role must include the Cargo Lot Load Plan - Barge(LOAD_PLAN_BARGE) privilege.
You can use the Plan to Barge form to plan a cargo lot to a barge by specifying the work queue, vessel position, and quantity. The Qty. Planned and Total Qty are view-only fields. When you save the load plan, N4 creates a work instruction, which can be viewed in the Cargo Lot Inspector (on page 1) and Work Instructions view. The Work Queue lookup field in the Load Plan - Barge form lists only the work queues of type load. N4 does not allow you to save the details only if you have selected the work queue in the Work Queue lookup field. N4 allows you plan a barge load plan from both the yard and vessel.
You cannot create a load plan for a barge if the selected cargo lot is a default cargo lot.
Also, you cannot create a load plan in the following scenarios:
You cannot load a cargo lot to a barge if the lot quantity is zero.
You cannot perform load for import cargo lots.
You cannot perform load if the cargo lot is not in the yard.
You cannot create a load plan for the default cargo lot.
You cannot create a load plan when qty planned and total qty are equal.
If you have created a load plan for multiple records and the selected cargo lots are not scheduled for the same carrier visit.
